Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Clipadillo (“Clipadillo”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal data when you visit this website, contact us, use the Clipadillo web application or connect supported third-party services.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
Clipadillo is a product of Alan Brennan, trading as ClipCycle (Registration of Business Names Act 1963, no. 792657), registered in Ireland on 4 September 2026. Alan Brennan is the controller for personal data Clipadillo receives. Contact: clipadillo.creator@gmail.com.
2. Information we process
Account information
- Your email address, used to sign you in and to contact you about the service.
- Sign-in links and session records, including the time you last signed in.
- Your chosen time zone and the hour you would like to be prompted.
Your imported archive
- Post information you choose to import, such as dates, titles, captions, locations, sounds, view and like counts, and the comment and interaction settings from your original posts.
- The video, photo and cover-image files from that archive, which we store so that a clip can be prepared and sent to your drafts later.
- Performance figures over time. Where you have granted access, we record readings of your view, like, comment and share counts, and of your follower count, so we can tell you which older clips are gaining attention again and how your audience has changed since a clip was first posted.
Preferences and activity
- Ideas, scripts, pasted comments, transcripts, planning tasks, manual performance readings and notes you choose to save.
- Creator settings, including your goals, audience, content topics, experience, filming preferences, available time, notification choices, cooldowns, priority labels, seasonal marks, exclusions and saved captions. Recorded milestones help us recognise progress without repeatedly notifying you about the same achievement.
- A record of what was suggested, skipped, approved, uploaded or failed, so the service does not repeat itself and so you can review your own history.
TikTok connection information
When you choose to connect a TikTok account, TikTok handles the login screen. Clipadillo receives an account identifier, your display name and avatar, the permissions you granted, and the access and refresh credentials needed to provide the features you requested. Those credentials are encrypted before they are stored. Clipadillo never asks for or receives your TikTok password.
Information we read from your connected account
Where you grant the relevant permission, Clipadillo reads the following directly from TikTok so that your library is ready without you having to upload anything. Each permission is optional and is shown to you on TikTok’s own consent screen; declining one leaves the rest working.
- The list of your own posts, including each post’s identifier, caption, publication time, duration, link and cover image.
- The view, like, comment and share counts for those posts.
- Your follower and following counts, your total likes and your number of posts. These are used to judge a post’s reach against the size of the audience it had, because the same view count means different things at different account sizes.
This information is read only for your own account, never for anyone else’s, and it is used to produce your suggestions and insights. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with other users.
Notification information
- If you enable notifications, the subscription details your browser generates, including its endpoint, encryption keys and browser description.
- If notifications cannot reach you, we send the same prompt by email instead.
Payments
Clipadillo never sees or stores your card details. Paid plans are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe acts as the merchant of record and is the seller on your receipt. Stripe collects your payment and billing details directly and handles any sales tax or VAT due in your country. Clipadillo receives only the record of which plan you hold, when it renews and whether it is active.
3. How we use information
- To import, archive and organise the posts you ask us to.
- To read your posts and their statistics from TikTok, where you have connected your account, so that your library is available without an upload and its numbers stay current.
- To identify older posts worth a second run, using your own history as the comparison.
- To generate captions, hooks and posting suggestions for you to review. Some writing features on paid plans and during the free trial use the external AI provider named in section 5. Archive theme and writing-style analysis may also run on imported captions. Every writing suggestion is still yours to accept, edit or ignore.
- To provide the useful reminders, encouragement and milestone notifications you choose, at your preferred local hour. Daily reminders use device push notifications when enabled; they do not fall back to email.
- To send a clip to your TikTok drafts when you expressly approve it.
- To transcribe a clip’s speech, when you request automatic captions or writing assistance for a new clip, so the words can inform suggestions and be burned into the video for viewers watching without sound. The transcript is kept with the clip so you can correct it without us transcribing it again.
- To publish a clip to TikTok on your instruction, where you have granted the posting permission and confirmed that individual post. What we send TikTok is the video, the caption you approved and the settings you chose — privacy level, comment, Duet and Stitch settings, cover frame and any commercial-content disclosure. We record what was sent and what TikTok reported back, so the app can show you whether the post completed.
- To answer support, privacy and security enquiries.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, secure and improve the service.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies we rely on: performance of a contract, for providing the service you signed up to; consent, for notifications and for connecting a TikTok account, each of which you can withdraw; legal obligations; and legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving Clipadillo without overriding your rights.
5. Where your data is stored
Our core application database and archived media are configured for storage in the European Union. This does not mean every external service processes data only in the EU. Media files are held in object storage configured with an EU jurisdiction restriction, and the application database is hosted in an EU region. We use the following processors:
- Stripe — merchant of record for paid plans, through its Managed Payments service. Stripe receives your email address and the payment and billing details you enter at checkout, and holds them under its own privacy policy as a controller for those purposes. Your media files and TikTok credentials are never sent.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — object storage for your archived media, and domain and network services.
- Railway Corp. — hosting for the application and its database.
- Vercel Inc. — hosting for the web application interface.
- Resend — delivery of sign-in links by email. Daily reminders use device notifications when enabled.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) — error reporting, so that faults can be diagnosed and fixed. Reports identify your account by its internal identifier only; sign-in tokens, session cookies and email addresses are removed before a report is sent, and no recording of your screen is ever made.
- Anthropic PBC — provides writing assistance, archive theme labels, a description of your writing style, and optional visual descriptions of clips. Depending on the feature, we send relevant captions, hashtags, location and sound information, posting context, relevant creator goals, intended audience, content topics, constraints and selected platform, your writing-style profile and sample captions, your own description or idea, text transcribed from speech or read from the image, or comments you paste for idea generation. Archive labelling may use batches of up to 150 captions; a writing-style profile may use up to 40 captions. These archive features can also run when a connected account is first imported or refreshed. When the clip-analysis feature runs for an eligible Pro or trial account, up to four reduced-size still frames are sent to describe what the clip shows. They may contain people or personal information visible in your footage. Account email addresses and TikTok credentials are not included as separate fields in these AI requests; information you include in captions, footage, comments or ideas can still be present. Anthropic's commercial API data-handling terms apply; they do not use this material for model training by default. Provider processing and retention are separate from the EU storage of your archive. If the AI service is unavailable, some features fall back to templates and others remain unavailable.
- Deepgram, Inc. — transcribes media for automatic captions, writing assistance for a new clip, and spoken ideas. For clip transcription the current implementation sends the selected video file, including its audio, rather than extracting an audio-only file first. For a spoken idea it sends your recorded audio. Transcripts are kept with the relevant clip or idea; the temporary spoken-idea recording is discarded by Clipadillo after processing. Transcription requests explicitly opt out of Deepgram's Model Improvement Program. Deepgram documents that opted-out media and transcripts are retained only for the time needed to process the request; request metadata and usage logs may remain. Processing currently uses Deepgram's global endpoint, so this is not a promise that transcription stays in the EU.
- TikTok — only when you connect your account, approve an upload, or confirm a post.
Some of these providers are established outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism offered by the provider.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Information is shared only as needed:
- With TikTok, when you connect your account, approve a clip being sent to your drafts, or confirm a post for publication.
- With the processors named above, acting on our instructions to run the service.
- When required by law, or where necessary to protect users, Clipadillo or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.
7. Retention and deletion
- Your archive, settings and history are kept while your account is open, so that suggestions can improve over time.
- You can delete individual videos from your library at any time.
- You can delete your entire account from within the application. Doing so removes your stored media first and then your records, and it is not reversible.
- You can export a copy of your data from within the application before deleting it.
- Revoking Clipadillo’s access from your TikTok account settings stops any further access from our side.
- Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal data, to object to certain processing and to withdraw consent. In Settings → Account, you can download a JSON file containing your account details, ideas, plans, results and editing settings, or delete your account. Video files are downloaded separately from Library. Account deletion closes any Clipadillo subscription immediately before removing stored media and account records. It does not issue a refund or remove posts already on TikTok. Payment providers may retain transaction records under their own legal obligations.
You may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or your local supervisory authority. To exercise any other right, email clipadillo.creator@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Cookies
Clipadillo uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and a temporary security cookie when connecting TikTok. These protect sign-in and the account-connection flow; they are not advertising cookies. We do not place advertising cookies and we do not operate behavioural analytics. The website host may process standard technical request information under its own terms.
10. Security
- TikTok access and refresh credentials are encrypted before being stored.
- Your media is held in private storage and is never publicly listable. Previews are served through short-lived signed links that expire.
- Each creator’s media and records are separated, and the application checks ownership on every request.
- Sign-in uses short-lived email links rather than passwords. Keep your sign-in link private until it expires.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please protect your email account and your TikTok account, since both can be used to reach your Clipadillo data.
11. Children
Clipadillo is not directed to children under 13. Users must also satisfy TikTok’s age requirements and applicable law.
12. Third-party services
TikTok and the providers named above operate under their own privacy policies. Clipadillo is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will tell you before it takes effect.
14. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to clipadillo.creator@gmail.com.
